As the economy worsens in our communities,the donations to Aloha Pregnancy Care and Counseling Centers have greatly dwindled.
Almost daily women with unplanned pregnancies walk through our doors asking for free pregnancy tests and free ultrasounds. Many of them are in their teens, often lonely, afraid,and being told by friends, partners and parents to have an abortion. However, once they enter our facility they are met by Christ's disciples who give them love and hope, and counselors who make every effort to see that their needs are met, so that the precious child within them will be safe and born to a family that will cherish them.
Everything that we do here at APCCC is done free of charge, with even a "baby n me" department that gives out diapers, wipes, milk, baby food, clothing and almost every neccesity for a mother in need. Our volunteers work tirelessly to see that precious babies, both born and unborn are given the opportunity to a happy childhood. Won't you join with us,especially now that the holiday season is upon us, to give Love and Hope to young pregnant women and the child within them by your generous giving. Banquet Report
PRAISE GOD!!! People came from all around the island and from all walks of life to help Aloha Pregnancy celebrate the grand opening of Aloha Pregnancy Osaka.The banquet hall was filled to capacity.
They were welcomed by our vibrant MC, Miss Hawaii Lauren Cheape, who did an awesome job. Then nostalgic local and ethnic music by the timeless Ebbtides. Then they were treated with a mouthwatering buffet dinner of Japanese dishes, topped off with Matsumoto style shave-ice with all the trimmings. Thank you Mike and Lisa Rabe and the staff of Creations in Catering.
The testimony by Misato, volunteer of APCCC Osaka and Founder Steve Holck consisting of a role-play of the pro-life decision by Misato, despite the very cruel behavior and remarks by the father of the child brought tears to the audience.
The opening and closing prayers were done by Father Bill Xenos Church of the Risen Lord, and Pastor Klayton Ko, First Assembly of God Red Hill. Prayer was also said for the family of Dean Morimoto owner of Banzai Plumbing and longtime financial supporter of Aloha Pregnancy who recently passed away with brain cancer.
All of this came about through the very hard work of APCCC angels, Henrietta Muramoto, Carolyn Kobayashi and Radford Sagarang.
Finally a huge Aloha and thank you to all of the attendees whose prayers,volunteering and financial support will help Aloha Pregnancy Center continue to grow and benefit our branch in Osaka Japan.
